Myst V
Strengths: Improved graphics, better choices of interfacing w/mouse
Weakness: Hard to read the text in the on-line books/journals
I've played all five Myst games and Uru too. I've thoroughly enjoyed the puzzles and graphics. The puzzles seemed a bit easier this time but still very enjoyable. A hint section might have been nice but fortunately there are many sites to find that info.

Myst end of ages
Strengths: A great game while it lasted
Weakness: While trying to go to another land it locked up and the game would go no further .... some kind of "stack error"
I heard this game was buggy and they were right.
My computer has never had a problem with any of the other Myst game I have played.
Glad I only paid $12.00 for it .

Myst V S/W purchase
Strengths: Excellent images.
Weakness: Hard to read the script writing in books found throughout areas.
Amazing to watch as your view scans around the areas. Not a bloody, shoot, slaughter, kill game. The puzzles are challenging without having to see blood spurt everywhere. For the novice the puzzles are not easily seen and solved.

There is no combat, no vehicular action, and no violent death---just lavish exploration and wonder, interrupted by fiendish puzzles. The environments are mostly full 3D, which encourages exploration. The puzzles in this installment are, by and large, solvable without much cheating. The story does conclude, but I have to...
