Nice Motherboard, but price a bit steep...

Strengths: LCD readout; good design; easy installation; Q-connector a nice bonus

Weakness: Price has not gone down over past year, making this motherboard a bit more costly than some of its peers

Had a tough decision to purchase this mo-bo since it was still $230. However, had no problems whatsoever when booting up for the first time and with updating the BIOS. Credit the built in cooling system for helping to keep my Athlon 6400+ at a reasonable temperature with the stock fan/heatsink combination. Q-connector was pretty handy and made the installation slightly easier. Not a no-brainer of...

Solid Borad from Asus

Strengths: Stability, overclocking ability, LED board lighting

Weakness: CPU speed & RAM speed are linked together (i.e., unable to manually change the FSB/DDR ratio)

For few year I stopped using ASUS for motherboards because of some bad experiences. However, deciding now to give them another chance i am glad i did. Slick motherboard

Strengths: Love the lighted back panel connections! This baby is LOADED with geek goodies. Super for OC'ers.

Weakness: Price seems a little steep until you consider what you getting.

If the back of your system is in the dark then the lighted back panel alone may be enough to sell you on this MB. You can even check the time while your back there. Plenty of SATA plugs w/raid. Super fast

Good price, great board!

Strengths: LCD posting, LED board lighting, overclocking ability.

Weakness: None

Really good all around board with lot's of goodies! This board is truelly one of the few good all around boards with plenty of potential. Recommend it to anyone looking to build a new system on a budget.

Amazing.

Strengths: Extreme Speed Speed Speed SPEED/Accessibility/layout/Temp cooling/590 SLI/ 8 GIGS OF FREAKIN RAM!!!

Weakness: How my knees get every time I turn on my computer because it is a babe. Sexy sexy sexy.

This mother board is the Top Snot. I purchased it along with a 5000 + windsdor Socket AM2 AMD X2 / Geforce 7950 GT / 2 Kingston DDR2 EXtreme 1066 mhz (and even though this mother board says it doesnt support 1066 ram it works on mine just fine, runs it in 800 mhz mode.) My computer is a rockin knockin speed devil from hell, everything I bought including this Crosshair motherboard is working like...
