Strengths: Play as Jango Fett!
Weaknesses: Bad, bad camera
Summary: In this game you play as Jango Fett prior to the time he was selected to be the "parent" to the clone troopers in the Star Wars prequel movies. This is no light saber dueling game - you blast, jet, flame, and shoot missiles. This makes it a very different type of Star Wars experience from what we are used to. Most of the game is taking out enemies with your blasters and other assorted weapons, though there are also platforming and puzzle elements.

The game is plagued by a bad camera, that often gets stuck. However, the graphics, sounds, and cut-scene story elements (featuring some of the actual actors from the movies, including the one who plays Jango) are all excellent. The Gamecube version is better than the PS2 one and runs in progressive scan mode.

Strengths: Good story line and subject matter.
Weaknesses: Not as difficult as it could be.
Summary: Star Wars: Bounty Hunter is a very good game to try if you are a Star Wars fan or if you just want to try something that will keep you occupied for a few hours. You play as Jengo Fett and have to track down several people throughout the game to collect bounties on or find out information. The game play is fun, but sometimes a little too easy. No matter what, this is a fun game and a good addition to the Star Wars galaxy.

Strengths: Star Wars license, movie sound effects, play as Jango Fett, fly with his jetpack, track down the scum of the universe
Weaknesses: Bland graphics, uninteresting story, targeting issues, limited jetpack flight time
Summary: In a universe prior to Episode 2, Jango Fett earns a living by tracking down and capturing the scum of the universe. Unfortunately, your bounty targets cannot be easily identified without first scanning them, and you'll frequently find these targets within large groups of enemies all bent on taking you down on sight. In such an ensuing firefight, your target has a high probability of being terminated prior to capture. Some targets are wanted dead or alive (you'll get far less for them dead than alive), and if a target is wanted alive (and you fail to save them), you don't get paid for any of your troubles.

Unfortunately, Bounty Hunter doesn't add anything to the Star Wars universe, and you'll quickly find enemies repeating time and again. When you do get your jetpack, you'll find that its limited flight time poses perhaps the greatest single challenge to your survival (as you'll frequently run out of power right before you would have reached the safety of an upcoming landing point). When you couple this frustration with bland graphics and a minimal storyline, Bounty Hunter becomes just another licensed game and as such is suitable for diehard Star Wars fans only.

Strengths: Good story presentation, Lots of levels & secrets
Weaknesses: Some camera problems
Summary: Star Wars: Bounty Hunter is a 3D action shooter game. It consist of 18 huge levels that span over 6 worlds with secondary goals. You play as Jango Fett bad guy who has dual blaster pistols, missile-equipped jetpack, flamethrower, toxic darts, sniper rifle, and more to use to against his advisaries & get though levels, you can also use a wrist-mounted cutting laser to break down locked doors.

I would recommend this game to

1) Star Wars fans that like action shooter type games

2) anyone who played & enjoyed Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire on the N64

Strengths: Good sound, decent storyline, good use of Star Wars license
Weaknesses: Bad camera, touchy controls
Summary: Bounty Hunter is set between the first and second Star Wars movies, involving the work of Jango Fett to capture bounties across the galaxy. Being Jango Fett, there are numerous weapons and equipment used in the pursuit of bounties, in the different environments through the game . The game looks good, and it sounds very good, with the musical score used throughout. It's a different game than the other Star Wars games, and for that, it's worth looking into.

3 Star ReviewSurprise, Another Star Wars Game!
Strengths: Graphics and sound quality are nice.
Weaknesses: Controls could use touching up, and the camera is quite twitchy.
Summary: This game could have been great if the controls and camera had been fixed. As it stands, this game still isn't that bad, just didn't quite reach its full potential. The graphics and sound are very good as with most games from LucasArts. The controls are not that great, but that mainly comes from the camera. The camera doesn't know what to do when up against a wall. It hangs too close to Jango Jett sometimes, and all you can see is the back of his head when using first-person view mode. I'm not saying this game is horrible, but I suggest you think twice before buying, unless you're a fan of Star Wars. (like me)

Strengths: Star Wars license, capturing bounties
Weaknesses: Somewhat jerky controls and camera
Summary: Star Wars: Bounty Hunter lets you control Jango Fett and capture various bounties in the Star Wars universe. This game is a nice change of pace from typical Star Wars games and allows for some variety in gameplay. Jango is equipped with all his standard weapons: blasters, jetpack, flame torch, binding and more. Each level has you searching for specific bounties that you have to capture or bring in dead. This adds a lot to the gameplay because you can't just go and blast everyone in sight. The levels are very well done and take advantage of all of Jango's abilities.

The main drawbacks to this game are the controls can be a little jerky at times and the camera doesn't always give you a good view. Other than that though, this is a pretty solid game.

Strengths: Use of Star Wars license.
Weaknesses: lack of save points
Summary: Star Wars: Bounty Hunter is yet another Star Wars game released to capitalize on the release of the more recent trilogy of films. Bounty Hunter is set prior to the events which occur in Attack of the Clones, surrounding the career of Jango Fett. Lucas Arts developed the game and this is one of the few recent console titles to be directly under their control. Is this game Jar Jar or Boba Fett?

Visually Bounty Hunter is very good. Lucas Arts has done a commendable job of depicting the Star Wars universe, familiar and unfamiliar alike. Coruscant is depicted in the game as the giant city-planet it is, feeling alive and full of ambient activity. Other less familiar areas are equally well done, each area having its own look and style, and they are all huge. Graphics in this game are a huge plus.

Audio is always pretty good in Star Wars games due to the high standard it must meet in fans' minds. Music inspired by John Williams classic anthems is here as well as original music that fits the Star Wars style, all of it is well done and sounds great. Dolby Pro Logic II sound effects are also right in line with the movies: lasers, ships, and the like all sound great.

Bounty Hunter is an third person adventure game. The player takes on the role of Jango Fett, notorious bounty hunter. Fett must go about the business of being a bounty hunter collecting his prey both dead and alive. Each level plays a role in furthering the story of how Fett is being manipulated by Sith lord Count Dooku and leads up to the events in Attack of the Clones. Level design is excellent, and the levels give the player lots of freedom to use Fett's jet pack to explore. Fett has all of his classic tools at his disposal and other power ups, to help him advance and grab his extra bounties. The only real faults of the game play are sometimes loose camera control and level size. The game is fairly difficult and the levels are huge, and players get a limited amount of save points.

Bounty Hunter is an excellent effort a making a Star Wars game outside of the normal Jedi Empire conflict. Excellent presentation all around, including graphics and sound help the Star Wars feeling immensely. There's a ton of extra material to unlock in including comic book material, cards, and several movies. The game is just short of being a classic. As it is Bounty Hunter is a very good game and an exemplary Star Wars game.

3 Star ReviewStar Wars: Bounty Hunter for Gamecube
Strengths: Engaging story
Weaknesses: Clunky controls
Summary: I found the story to interestingly fill in some back story for Episode II.

I wanted to play through this game and capture all the bounties available... for the simple reason that it is called Star Wars: Bounty Hunter. I found it to be impractical to do so, however, and it ultimately detracted from the fun of the game. Seeking out the secondary bounties quickly becomes tiresome due to the clunky visor/bounty-marking system. I started playing this game straight after playing through Metroid Prime, and wish the bounty scanning visor could have been as intuitive and easy-to-use as the Scan visor from that game.

Another aspect of the game that irritated me was the recurring areas with infinite numbers of respawning enemies.

I enjoyed the multitude of weapons available, but the sheer variety (and limited ammunition) kept me mostly confined to the starting twin blaster setup.

I enjoyed the jetpack after suspending my disbelief over the 'limited but ever rejuvinating fuel supply'. I just convinced myself that the jetpack gague was temperature gague and that it had to 'cool down' after short periods of operation.

Using the arm-laser to cut through and kick down greats is just cool!

The thug character models are interesting, but quicly repetetive.

Overall I recommend this game to anyone who isn't concerned about unlocking the extra features and just wants to play Jango Fett, shoot cool guns and rocket around on a jetpack for a bit.

3 Star ReviewI'm not much of a Star Wars fan but I do enjoy the ...
Strengths: Quite fun Jango action, great Star Wars action, superb voice acting
Weaknesses: Feels sometimes clunky, too short
Summary: I'm not much of a Star Wars fan but I do enjoy the video games. After playing and enjoying some of the previous titles, I thought I'd give Bounty Hunter a shot. I didn't expect much going into it, but I had a fun time trying it out. It has a Bounty System where you can scan people/creatures walking around and you can see if they have a bounty on their head. That was pretty cool because the reward varies and so does the capture requirement. Its gets repetative though, its more fun to have to capture them alive than dead since you have to tie them up and such. I think Star Wars fans will love this, and non-Star Wars fan will enjoy the action.
